Marcia June Bonner Carr, Matriarch of the “Carr” Clan established September 28, 1957 when she married the love of her life Marion A. “Bud” Carr was called home by our Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the age 86 years, 2 months, and 2 days.
Marcia was born December 20, 1937, in Gainesville, Texas, the daughter of Ed and Nannie Bonner. She was baptized in Houston, Texas in 1960. She was confirmed in 1968 at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, Houston, Texas. She was a Church Business Administrator until she retired in 1998. She enjoyed reading, gardening and cooking. She served in congregations as Treasurer, on the Altar Guild, on the Board of Stewardship and preparing meals. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Westfield. As anyone knows that met her she was a force to be reckoned with and touched many lives and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bud Carr and parents, Ed and Nannie Bonner,
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Cranston and her husband John; her son, Paul Carr and his wife Pam; six grandsons: Lance Peele and wife Courtney, Chris Carr and wife Gracie, Carey Carr and wife Chelsea, Scott Peele and his wife Amber, Nick Peele and his wife Lauren, and Sean Carr and his wife Bianca; Great Grandkids: Tyler King, Lincoln Parsons, Hayden Peele, Cayden Carr, Skylar Peele, Bella Brown, Matthew Brown, Walker Peele, Savannah Carr, Ella Kate Carr, Ender Brown, Levi Peele, Jackson Carr and Riker Carr; her brother Tom Bonner and his wife Kat, and sister Becky Bryant and her extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews. Her body will be laid to rest in the Calvary Cemetery to await the resurrection on the last day.
