Our beloved mother, Mercedes (Meche) Reyes entered into God’s Kingdom on July 8, 2024. Mercedes Reyes, 74, of Houston, TX, was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico on September 24, 1949. In 1968, she married Jesus and they went on to have 5 children.
Mercedes was a loyal servant to God, first and foremost. She loved the church and loved sharing the love and warmth of our savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering trust, faith and love in our Lord, Jesus, which she shared daily with those who surrounded her. In addition to being a dedicated wife and loving mother, Mercedes also loved cooking her family’s favorite dishes, tending to her garden, and reading the Bible.
Mercedes joins her husband, parents and 6 siblings in Heaven. She is survived by many loving family members including her children: Juana Maria & Eladio Campos, Maria Magdalena & Salvador Garcia, Luis Alberto & Diana, Juan Jose & Arisela, Jesus David & Linh Reyes
Mercedes was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, Linzy & Adan Estrada, Andres & Deyla Garcia, Miqueas and Mimi Garcia, Emma, Jesus, Claribel, Gabriela, Kaitlyn & Adelynn Reyes; Madaliene, Benjamin, & Brissa Estrada.
She is also survived by 4 siblings: Adolfo (Rudy), Amelia, Teresa, & Rosario.
Now that Mercedes has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of her physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful journey for her in Heaven.
