May 14, 1960March 11, 2019

Michael was born on May 14th, 1960 at the Methodist Hospital in Peoria Illinois. He passed away on March 1th, 2019 at his Mother's home in Spring, Texas.

He Graduated from Morton High School in 1978, after working for his father in construction for several years. He moved with his family to Houston, Texas in 1981. Where he went to trade school and became a computer analyst, and he worked for Halliburton until he retired early due to heart problems. Even then he was already filling the role of helpmates to his parents. He uprooted his life at their request to make their life easier.

Michael was an outdoor enthusiast, over his lifetime he hunted deer, went fishing when he had time, gardened, and his favorite past time wood- working. In the last few years his projects became smaller, but no less creative. He was always working on some project and making plans for others.

He enjoyed computer gaming and traveling. His favorite trips were to Germany and Ireland. He loved animals and had many pets over the years dogs, a cat, birds, lizards, and ducks. His most beloved companion was a Papillion Jean Claude who at this time is 13 years old, and greatly missing him.

He is preceded in death by his father Edward Rinkenberger. He is survived by his Mother Dorothy (Hodel) Rinkenberger, His brother Marc a.k.a. Marcia Rinkenberger, Sisters Melinda Duff, and Kimberly Savin, his nieces and nephews Susan (berry) Weaver, Nicholas Berry, Beth Berry and Zane Savin. Mike worked for me for many years. He was such a good man and had a great smile. He loved technology even though he spent many personal hours supporting all the requests for his help. He never let anyone down.

We are so sorry for his loss. God bless Mike and his family.

Thoughts and prayers are with you all. It’s so hard to hear of Mikes passing. I can’t imagine loosing a son. Aunt Dorothy, special love to you. Mark, Mindy and Kim, I know how much I miss my brother Doug. We just don’t think about loosing our siblings.

I babysat for all of you pretty often! The time I remember was when your parents went to a wedding and, I babysat all day and into the late evening. They paid me $20.00! I thought I was rich😂

Sympathy and love. Thanks Mindy for letting us know.

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. My thoughts will be with the whole family and I will keep you all in prayer. Remembering Mike, a picture that comes to mind is the sweetest little cousin who I played with when we were little, and then babysat for when we were both a little older. Losing a son and brother is such a heartbreak, and I pray for the strength you need in the coming days and months. With love, Barbara Rapp
