She was born in New Baden, Texas on July 6, 1938. Nelda graduated from Reagan High School. She was married to Harry Hayes Dimmick Jr. on April 21st 1956.
Nelda had a career in Investment Relations for Grant Corporations and Swift Energy Company. She was also a member of The West 14th Baptist Church and Champion Forest Baptist Church. She had a passion for reading, traveling, her faith and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Dimmick and sons Jerry Dimmick and Todd Dimmick.
She is survived by her children Larry and wife Cindy, Harry James and Troy Dimmick, her grandchildren Kelly Dimmick, Jerry David Dimmick, Lesley and husband Christian Stroem, Adam and wife Julie Dimmick and Kacie Dimmick, her great grandchildren Jerry David III, Brooks, Liam, Ellis, Shepherd and Levi, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially a lifetime friendship of Delta Wright.
A visitation for Nelda will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cem, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A celebration of life will occur Friday, March 7, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338. A committal service will occur Friday, March 7, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
