Pansy Black, a cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and friend departs this earth for her heavenly home with our Lord Jesus Christ on the morning of October 21, 2024. She was physically born on January 17, 1937, in Roby, Texas and then spiritually born by the grace of God on January 30, 1971.
She spent 53 years serving faithfully her Lord and Savior. Pansy was a devoted member of Believers Fellowship. She loved her church and was a respected founding member. The majority of her career was spent in the oil field supply industry. She was no stranger to pipes, fittings, and crawling around in a hot warehouse checking in inventory. Working with Harold since the 60’s in expanding the family business. The company was a success with multiple store points in Texas and Louisiana. This success was due to a strong wife, mother, and inventory control manager. Pansy loved to spend time doing genealogy. She, Michael and Dede spent many days driving through old cemeteries to find old relatives. But more than anything she enjoyed playing canasta with her grandkids and friends. She was survived by son Michael Black, daughters-in-law Dede (Burk) Black and Lisa (Burk) Black, grandchildren Brittany Black, Morgan (Black) Holmes, Jared Black, and grandson-in-law Mikey Holmes. Preceded in joining the Lord was her husband Harold Black, son Ricky Black, father and mother Woodrow and Erma (Rollans) Butler, sister Gail Butler, and grandson Kyle Black.
Please join us at Believers Fellowship Church on Wednesday October 30th at 1:00 with a viewing before the service at 12:00. Visitation will be held Tuesday October 29th from 5:00-8:00 pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home.
