Born on February 27, 1954, in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Patricia was the cherished daughter of George and Clara Michalopoulos. She married Joseph Tran, on June 26, 1976, and together they built a family grounded in warmth, kindness, and enduring devotion.
A dedicated educator, Patricia found deep purpose and joy in teaching, touching countless lives with her compassion, patience, and wisdom. Beyond the classroom, she embraced a life rich in curiosity and creativity—an avid reader, a fierce Scrabble and Words With Friends player, and was well known for having the most magical green thumb. She found beauty in music and art, with a special love for musicals, opera, and the voice of Barbra Streisand. Her deep empathy and generous spirit naturally drew her to volunteer work, always seeking ways to help others.
Patricia is lovingly survived by her husband of nearly 50 years, Joseph Tran, and their children: Teresa Macleod, Annemarie Tran, Joseph A. Tran, Felicia Tran, and Stephen Tran. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Isabella and Audrey Macleod; her sister, Annamaria Hoffman; and brothers, Dan Michalopoulos and Charles Michalopoulos.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Michalopoulos, and her sister, Kathleen Bull.
Patricia’s legacy lives on in the many hearts she nurtured with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Her memory will be a guiding light for all who had the blessing of knowing her.
A celebration of life for Patricia will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cem, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX 77338.
