Raymond Kenneth Allen

Ray was born on November 18, 1956 in Jamestown, NY where he was raised by his parents Brian and Donna Gustafson. He moved to Humble, TX where he worked for Humble Machine Works for 25 years before venturing off to start his own business in 2006 proudly named Allen Machine. On July 2, 1986 he married the love of his life, Lora Elana Payne. Together they raised their two children, Kristina and Bryan, in Spring, TX.

Ray loved to fish. He spent many weekends on the lakes fishing tournaments, spending time with family and participating in conservation projects. He also enjoyed playing golf, building model airplanes, sorting through his many collections of baseball cards and coins, but most of all, spending time with family. He took much pride in providing and taking care of his family. He was a personable and kind man who made people feel like family. He was known for his genuine smile and heartwarming laugh, and never failed to make sure you had something to eat.

Ray is survived by his parents, Brian and Donna Gustafson, his beloved wife Lora Allen, his children, Kristina and Bryan, his grandchildren, Madison and Nathan, his sisters Kathy and Debbie, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A private viewing will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions at 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston Texas 77068, for family and close friends who wish to pay their final respects. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Grace Family Church on 23007 Cypresswood Dr. from 2:30 to 4:30.
