Richard Floyd Tatum, Sr., of New Caney, Texas entered into rest on April 3, 2020. He was born on August 24, 1939 to parents Ollie T. Tatum and Katie Lee Kitchens Tatum in Start, Louisiana. On April 29, 1960, he married the love of his life, Jo Ann Marshall, and they spent almost 60 years together. Richard had 4 children, Peggy Brown, Richard Tatum, Jr., Jim Tatum, and Colinda Ford.
Richard is survived by his wife, 4 children, 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, and siblings Sidney Tatum, Ray Tatum, Faye Kelley, and Alma Moody. He was preceded in passing by his parents, Ollie and Katie Tatum, siblings, Thomas Tatum, Robert Tatum, and Marie Streeter, and grandson, Robert (Robby) Preston Schindler, Jr.
