Robert Michael Whittredge passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Mexia, Texas. Robert was born January 11, 1971 in Port Arthur, Texas. He graduated from Sulphur High School in Sulphur LA. After high school he attended the University of Houston where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Business.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Torrie Whittredge, daughters Alexis, Candace, granddaughter Addison and his beloved Bull Dog, Pearl. His father, Gary and wife Sheila Whittredge, mother, Suzie Carr of Sulphur, LA. His grandfather, A.L. Whittredge and grandmother, Martha Cutaia. His Mother and Father-in-Law, Garry and Carol Morgan.
Robert made friends with every person he touched. He was always the first to give a helping hand to anyone in need. His telecommunications career took him from the North Slope in Alaska to offshore drilling platforms. He was an excellent Project Manager and worked endless hours to assure the job were done correctly.
He enjoyed hunting at their ranch in Mexia with his close friend Kenny Platt, as well as fishing with his father at their lake house on Toledo Bend. He also loved NASCAR and enjoyed serving as pit crew for his friends racing team. He found true happiness in building things with his hands. He had a true talent in wood working and repurposing old material into beautiful works of art. Robert was a wonderful father to Alexis as they toured the country showing her prized cows at FFA events. He also loved to play practical jokes on his mother, Suzie. He was a loving caring husband that was the center of Torrie’s world. Robert will be truly missed by all.
A celebration of life to honor Robert will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble Texas 77338 on March 29, 2018 at 2 PM.
