Rose was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 4, 1923. Rose married James Bennett in 1969,she was a homemaker her whole life and settled her family in Houston, Texas.
Rose loved children & babies, she also loved to cook and made gumbo like no other, & she would never eat until everyone else had food. She always put others first, was just the most caring person.
She is preceded in rest by her siblings; James Bennett, Herbert Bennett and Frances Bennett, her son John Lucas, and her friend Ruby Smith . She is survived by her children; Lionel Lucas, Gloria Lucas, Tolores Lucas, Leroy Lucas, and Raymond Lucas; her grandchildren, Alma Jerry, Toya Jerry, Patricia Paige, Anahua Paige, Tammy Lucas, Erroll Conner, Meme Conner, Jerome Paige, and William Paige, and her great grandchild, Erroll Neisha Conner
Rosetta always said, “Be careful and take care of yourself” and while we all miss her dearly, we know she still watches over us from heaven.
