Katy, TX---Saturnina Rodriguez, resident of Katy area, died Saturday, the 23rd of April at her home where she resided with her daughter & Son in law Mr. and Mrs. Nieves. She was a long time resident of Queens NY and San Bernadino CA. before moving to Katy.
Born on March 7, 1923 in Camuy, P.R. Wife of Juan Rodriguez, Daughter of Saturnino Estrella and Juana Mendoza. She was a dedicated mother of 7 and a surrogate mother of 5 and is survived by 6 children and 3 Surrogate children. She was grandmother of 18 great grandmother of 41, great-great grandmother of 7.
Saturnina made her living as a seamstress in New York City, NY. She loved and was proud of her Puertoriquen culture and her Carribean foods. She was a seamstress by profession and loved sewing , especially wedding gowns. Also enjoyed Music, Dancing, and word finds. Is remembered for her generosity and love of children. She gave of herself to help others. Had strong believes in her faith and trust in GOD.
Calvary Hills Funeral Home in Humble TX has been entrusted with arrangements.
She will be greatly missed.
