Shawn was an avid student of the Bible and earned a Bachelor's degree of Biblical Studies at Maryland Bible College & Seminary. He spent years of his life as a missionary overseas in Moscow, Budapest and Berlin. After marrying his wife Nikola, he became a skilled salesman selling everything from loans, cars, insurance, windows and homes. He also owned his own home improvement company for several years. During his entire career he put his family first and was a very involved, loving and present father to his 6 children and a faithful caring husband to his wife. His biggest passions were giving people the good news about Christ's salvation and his family.
He was preceded by his grandparents Helen & Donald Sherman, and Fern & Squatty Lyons, as well as his father Horace Lyons and uncles Everett and Scottie Lyons.
He is survived by his mother Betty Kristoffersen and siblings Donald & Tracie Lyons, his wife Nikola and children Austin, Michael, Oliver, Jeremy, Scarlett and Lilli Lyons.
