After marrying Robert, Sheila began building a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. The couple lived in Athens, Texas, before moving to Tyler after the birth of their first son. Several years later, they settled in Spring, Texas, where they made their permanent home and raised their family together.
Sheila was a longtime employee of the spring independent school district, where she worked for many years beginning in the early 1980s. She was known for her dedication, reliability, and caring nature.
A faithful member of the United Methodist Church, Sheila lived her life guided by kindness, compassion, and service to others. She was a devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy came from caring for her family. Her love for her husband Robert remained steadfast throughout their marriage, and she deeply missed him following his passing.
Sheila found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved being outdoors, tending to her yard, caring for her flowers and plants, and creating a welcoming home for family and friends. Whether working in her garden or spending time with those she loved, she brought warmth, patience, and quiet strength to every aspect of life.
Though she faced the challenges of Stage IV renal cancer and dementia with courage, Sheila’s gentle spirit and love for her family remained evident throughout her journey.
She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her generous heart, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
