Terrie Annette Dennis, died July 13, 2015 in Shenandoah, TX at the age of 53. From the age of 7, she knew that she wanted to be a nurse. She eventually fulfilled it, graduating from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She would later graduate from Texas Woman's University with her master's degree. She held a nursing career for many years, and was most recently employed at Kindred Hospital. Those who knew Terrie remember the amazing work she did in her field. The confidence she exuded, and the unwavering determination she had when it came to pursuing her dreams. Terrie is survived by her daughter, Janise Scott; son, Tommy Scott; grandchildren, Aaliyah Fuller, James Fuller, Camilla Speer, and Spencer Speer; sister, Jakki Smith; brothers, Robert Lassiter, and Franklin Lassiter; numerous nieces and nephews; and various other family members. Services will be held Monday, July 20, at Calvary Hill Funeral Hill. The viewing will be from 10-12 and the funeral will begin at 12.
