
Wayne was born in Dallas, TX on November 4, 1933 to the late Edward and Jewel Goff. He graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1952. He went to South Texas Junior College on a basketball scholarship. He joined the Army in 1954 and served 3 years as an Airplane Mechanic. While he was on leave during his time in the service he met and married his loving wife Alice Geneva Hibbard. They had a whirl wind courtship of one week which began on a blind date and lasted for 56 years.
Wayne learned the Sheet Metal Trade as a young boy working beside his father at Goff Sheet Metal, which he later owned and operated. He worked 25 years in the Sheet Metal Trade.
Later he obtained his Real Estate Broker’s License and developed a career as a real estate investor and property manager. He was always looking for a good investment opportunity and was very successful with his investments.
Wayne loved sports and was very competitive. He loved a great game of basketball, ping pong or volley ball. Most all he loved winning.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years Alice “Neva” Goff of Spring, TX; Two sons and one daughter – Larry Goff and wife Sheryl of Huntsville, TX, Timothy Goff Sr. and wife Rebecca of Katy, TX and Laurie Brunner and husband Dan of Blanco, TX. Seven Grandchildren Roxann Williams and husband R.T of Vero Beach, FL, Robin Hotz and David of Blanco, TX; Justin Goff of Conroe, TX; Leah Leggett of Yukon, OK; Daniel Brunner of Blanco, TX; Timothy Philip Goff Jr. of Katy, TX; and Christopher Brunner and wife Diana of Grand Prairie, TX; eight Great-grand children Larrah and Colson Williams of Vero Beach; Wesley, Kyla, Chisum, Whitt Coltin and Kelty Hotz of Blanco, TX; Matthew Brunner of Grand Prairie, TX. He is survived by two brothers Lawrence Goff of Garfield, AR and Bob Goff of Austin, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Great-granddaughters Hailey and Michaela Leggett and sister Lavern Jones.
