Tracey Lea Barnes

Tracey, a native of Houston, Texas, and graduate of Lamar High School, spent her career in health insurance. She prided herself on providing professional client services to her customers over the decades she spent in this field of work.

The simplest pleasures in life brought joy to Tracey. She loved her cats, Bonkers and Moo, and liked watching her garden bloom on a quiet evening. Tracey enjoyed going to the beach, and salt-water fishing in the hot sun at Galveston. Her laugh was contagious, and she liked surrounding herself with friends at social events. Tracey had a passion for many aspects of living, but nothing more so than her daughter, Stacy, who was the love of her life.

Tracey was preceded in death by her father, Jack M. Barnes, her mother, Carole J. Clay, and brother Jack (Mel) Barnes, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Stacy McDonough; her sister Terri Johnson and brother-in-law, Allen Johnson; her step-sister Dana Bohn; significant other David Sinner; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She will be dearly missed by all. Due to the pandemic, a memorial service will be hosted at a later date to be determined.
