Born on January 11, 1930, in the small town of Rock Prairie, Texas, Velma was the beloved daughter of the late Richmond Lewis and Emily Marie Tuck. As the oldest of five children, she grew up with a special place in her family, a role she carried throughout her life with grace, strength, and love.
Throughout her 96 years, Velma was a source of comfort, wisdom, and encouragement to her family and community. She lived a life defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering devotion to those she loved. She had a gentle spirit and a generous heart, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer a comforting word, or simply be there for someone in need. Her warmth touched the lives of many, and the love she shared will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Velma was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, her loving parents, and her four siblings—three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her three children: Kenneth and his wife, Glenda; Karen and her husband, Mark; and Michele. Her legacy of love continues through her five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy, pride, and happiness.
Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and the love that will forever bind her family together. Velma’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love a gift that will continue to be passed down through generations. She may no longer be with us in body, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
A beautiful life, a loving heart, and a legacy that will never fade.
Rest peacefully, Velma Faulk. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
