My thoughts and prayers are with her family! Everyone was talking about how strong she was and that is so true! She was the toughest person I knew! I have so many memories of her but my biggest memory was her always wanting to help her family in any way she could! I'm glad I got to know her. May you rest in peace Velma!

We didn’t get to spend much time with Mrs. Martinez but when we did, she was very sweet and funny. Her son, Aaron, is a very close friend of ours and we had the pleasure of meeting her once for a little barbecue. It was evident that she loved her family very much and had a strong faith in God. May she rest in eternal peace. Our deepest condolences to her entire family.

22 yrs. ago Velma welcomed me with open arms when I married her oldest son Michael. When I gave birth to her grandson Michael Jr. , she made sure not to miss any special moments with him and they spent many weekends together through the years. With the loss of my mother she promised she would always be there for me. When I was diagnosed with Cancer she prayed for me every night and always made sure I was ok through my treatments. Velma, you will be missed and live for ever in my heart. We love you!

Mom
In life, we loved you dearly, in death we love you still. In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will ever fill. I cried endlessly when you passed but I promise, I won't let the tears mar the smiles that you've given me when you were alive. I know you are listening from above, and rest assured I'll carry your love. I miss you dearly today, tomorrow, and from now on. Your loving son - Michael ❤️
