Albert R. Giandomenico passed away at his residence on Friday, February 5, 2021. He was ninety-seven years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Albert and Anna Giandomenico. Albert had been a resident of Southampton since 1967 and had previously lived in the Somerton section of Philadelphia. .
Albert was a retired purchasing manager. He had been employed at the Soabar Company (formerly a division of Avery International) in Philadelphia for forty years. The company manufactured tickets, tags and labels.
Mr. Giandomenico was an Army veteran of WW II. He served in the 79th Infantry Division. Al served in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and with the occupation force in Czechoslovakia. He was awarded the French Legion of Honor and retuned to France with his brother later in life and was given a hero’s welcome.
Albert was member of Saint Stephen’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Feasterville. He faithfully served the church as the financial secretary for over thirty years.
Al was dedicated to his family. He also enjoyed golf and working out at the Spring Mill Athletic Club in Warminster.
Albert was the beloved husband of Edith M. Giandomenico for fifty-seven years before her death in 2000. He was the devoted father of Robert Giandomenico and the late Albert “Rick” Giandomenico. He is also survived by his brother, Robert F. Giandomenico and his nieces, Terri-Ann and Paula.
Due to the current health crises, there will be no service.
