Alfred "Fred" Savoni

He was born on November 5th, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pa. Fred was the second of four children of Alfred & Helen Savoni. He graduated from George Washington High School in 1973. After high school, Fred joined the Local 420 Steamfitters Union, working as a welder, where he had a great career and was able to travel the world performing his trade.

As a life-long resident of Philadelphia, Fred was a devoted fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, especially the Eagles. Fred was happiest when he was spending time with his wife, daughters, grandkids, and dog at home or at the shore.

Fred was preceded in death by his loving parents, Alfred & Helen Savoni, and devoted mother-in-law Patricia Smith.

Fred is survived by his wife Kathy; daughters Dana LaGuardia (Eddie), Jacqueline Savoni, and Nicole Egan; siblings Catherine Morini (John), Steven Savoni, and Susan Pham, and many, many nieces and nephews. Fred was a wonderful and doting “Pop” to his (5) grandchildren: Maiti, Shawn, Riley, Emma, & Eddie, who adored him and will cherish their memories of him.

A visitation for Fred will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006. A memorial service will occur Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:30 AM. An inurnment will occur Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
