Anthony was born January 15, 1926 in the borough of Raritan, NJ to Bernardo and Elvira Lettieri. He was a veteran of WWII and served in the US Navy aboard the USS Nicholas. Upon his return from the service he attended the University of Alabama.
He began a career in teaching and taught for 38 years in various schools in NJ. He always talked about his love for teaching and his students.
He enjoyed golf, tennis, and traveling throughout the world with his wife Margaret. He loved operas and poetry. He was a past resident of Raritan, Howell Township, and the past 3 years at Ann's Choice, Warminster PA.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents, Bernardo and Elvira, his wife Margaret, a sister Phyllis Calabrese, and a brother Bernard.
He is survived by a brother Americo and wife Patricia, and a sister in law Janet. He is also survived by his beloved nephews Patsy Calabrese, Frank Calabrese and wife Diane, Anthony, Bernard and wife Lynda, and many grand nephews and nieces.
Interment will be at BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
There will be a memorial mass at a later date.
