Audrey Sharon McCash

Audrey Sharon McCash (Dalgity) passed away on September 28th, 2024 at the age of 75. She was a beloved wife, mom, mom-mom, aunt, niece and friend to so many. She leaves behind her husband David, daughter Amy and son-in-law Kevin, son Jonathan and daughter in-law Melissa, predeceased by her son David. Audrey was the proud grandmother to six of her grandchildren; Aeden, Avery, Brodie, Molly, Logan, and Greta. Her grandchildren were her everything and they each had a special relationship with their mom-mom.

Audrey was born in Philadelphia, PA and was the only child to Mary (Nay) and David Dalgity. Upon graduating from Little Flower High School, she decided to pursue a career as a registered nurse and attended Jefferson Nursing School in Philadelphia. Nursing was the perfect profession for someone who cared so much about people, especially during their most vulnerable times. That was Aud.

Soon after graduating from nursing school Audrey married her first love Dave and they married in November of 1970, eventually settling in Doylestown, PA where they raised their family. Later in life Dave and Audrey purchased a vacation home at the Jersey Shore in North Wildwood, where cherished memories were formed with her children and grandchildren at the beach, boardwalk and in the backyard pool. Family was the instrumental part of Audrey’s life and each summer they would host the famous McCash bash. A family reunion/gathering with multiple generations of family members. In addition, Audrey enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing, painting, cooking and even decided to become a barbecue judge.

Audrey's most cherished hobby was traveling the world with her husband Dave by her side. They circled the globe traveling to South Korea, China, Cambodia, Australia, New Zealand, Malta, Japan, France, Italy, Greece, Kenya, Argentina, Ireland, Scotland, England, Turkey, Germany, Croatia, Ecuador, and South Africa. She loved meeting new people, learning about new cultures and sharing stories of her adventures with her children and grandchildren.

When she wasn’t traveling, one could always count on Audrey to open her arms, her home, her kitchen and her heart to anyone who stopped by. One always left with their stomachs and hearts full. Audrey never took herself too seriously and was always the one to make others laugh with her humor. The world was a better place with Audrey in it and her legacy will continue to live on through the people that were touched by her.

You will be missed, but not forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 10:30am - 11:30am. Followed by the memorial service at 11:30am and the inurnment at Forest Hills Cemetery at 12:15pm.
