

Benjamin M. Guyger died on Monday January 10, 2011 at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 89 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he had lived in Churchville for the past 18 years. He was previously a longtime resident of Oakford.
Mr. Guyger was a retired engineer. He had worked for the Budd Company for 47 years at both the Hunting Park and Red Lion plants. He was a WW II veteran serving in the Army Air Force.
Ben was a member of St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church in Feasterville. He served on the Church Building Maintenance Committee and was a former member of the Church Counsel. He was also a member of the Newtown Lodge 427 F & AM and the Red Lion and Southampton Square Clubs. Ben was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. His other interest include woodworking and carving, as well as tropical fish
Ben was the beloved husband of Janet Shute Guyger for 18 years and the late Elizabeth Foster Guyger who died in 1991. He was the devoted father of David (Marge) Guyger of Hatboro, Benjamin (Fulvia) Guyger of Prineville, OR, and Stephen Guyger of Oakford. He was the step-father of Steven (Bernadine) Wasserleben of Coatesville, Karen (Peter) Palmeiro of Bokeelia, FL, Andrea (Thomas) Gass of Glenside, Allison (David) Nelson of Holland and Gary (Michelle) Wasserleben of Germantown, MD. He was the loving grandfather of Amy, David, James, Jason, Megan, Troy, Taylor, Blaze, DJ, Jaclyn, Morgan, Madison, and Terry. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10 on Monday January 17, 2011 at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 65 East Street Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Masonic Service will be at 10 AM. His memorial service will be at 10:30 AM. The interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Roof Fund of St. Stephens Lutheran Church.
