Beryl Cranch Simonetti, age 92, passed away on August 28, 2026 at Oxford Senior Living in Langhorne, PA.

Beryl was born on March 2, 1934 in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, to parents, Rev. Raymond G. Cranch and Florence Mary Cooper Cranch. She graduated from The Bryn Athyn Girls School in 1952. She continued her education, earning an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts from the Academy of the New Church College, a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University, and many years later a Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Immaculata College, doing her internship at the Eagleville Hospital. Beryl worked as a computer programmer and system analyst in computer software design at Remington Rand Univac in Philadelphia and later for Alcoa, US Steel and others. For many years she was the scheduler for the Academy of the New Church High School and College.

Beryl was a member of the Board of Directors of the General Church of the New Jerusalem. She led many workshops on topics related to psychology, religion and marriage, and wrote articles that appeared in several church publications. She participated in many community programs such as the Church Choir, Laurel Leaf Academy, and Sunrise. She also earned a certificate from the Psychosynthesis Center at Pinebrook, before becoming a teaching assistant there. Beryl lead tour groups through the Glencairn Museum and volunteered as an usher for many concerts at Glencairn which reflected her life long love of classical music and the fine arts. Her other hobbies included gardening, sewing, crafting miniatures and traveling.

Beryl was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Paul Simonetti, and six siblings.

Beryl is survived by her four children, Linda Odhner, Cara Furgiuele, Neil Simonetti and Nina Simonetti, six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral (900 Cathedral Road, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009) at 4 pm on (Sunday) September 20, 2026. Special music will begin at 3:30 pm. Rev. Ray Silverman will officiate. The Service will be livestreamed at www.brynathynchurch.org/memorial. All are welcome to a gathering at the Cairnwood Village dining room immediately following the service (3039 Huntingdon Pike, Bryn Athyn, PA 19009).
