Bess Littman

She was a long-time resident of Brooklyn and the Bronx, New York, Teaneck and Fair Lawn, New Jersey, and Delray Beach and Deerfield Beach, Florida. Bess was born on March 20, 1919 in New York City, to parents, Joseph and Rose Kezes. She graduated from Roosevelt High School, Bronx, NY in 1937.

She was a devoted wife of Paul Littman for over 60 years. Mr. Littman passed away in 2006. Bess was a creative spirit, tennis player, swimmer, golfer, singer, pianist, and artist. She was also a believer in and practitioner of mindfulness and reflexology.

Bess Littman is survived by her daughter, Sandi Greenwald of Bucks County, PA and Sandi’s husband Paul Greenwald; her son Allen Littman of Beachwood, OH and Allen’s partner Ellen Halfon; sister, Ethel Brown, of New York City; grandchildren Jordana Greenwald and husband Ned Tompsett, Arielle Greenwald, Evan Littman and Adam Littman; and great-grandchildren Caleb and Rory Tompsett.

A graveside service for Bess will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
