Beverly was a vibrant member of the Fox Run Senior Living Community for the last 10 years after moving from Philadelphia to be closer to her family in Michigan. She was born on July 4 1928 in Brooklyn NY, to parents, Herman Mankoff and Miriam Bookspan Mankoff. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School and Brooklyn College. During her long career as an elementary school teacher in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, she also received a Master’s degree from Gratz College in Philadelphia. After she retired from teaching, she volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in Philadelphia County.
She was always involved and active in a variety of organizations including B’Nai B’rith, Brandeis Women’s Book Club, Democratic Party of Montgomery County, American Association of University Women, and the Shalom Group at Fox Run - to name a few.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Daniel Schwartz.
She is survived by her brother Alan Mankoff (Phyllis), her children Craig Schwartz (Linda) and Amy Schwartz (Larry Birnbaum); her grandchildren Jonathan Schwartz (Stacy Trosell), Lauren Schwartz, Alex Schwartz, Rachel Birnbaum, and Adam Birnbaum; as well her adored great-granddaughter Mila Schwartz.
The Funeral will be family only and burial will be at Shalom Memorial Park, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
