Charles J. Benneman Jr.

Charles J. “Mr. Budd” Benneman died on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook. He was 87 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Charles J. and Marion Schnieder Benneman. Budd was a Feasterville resident since 1953.

Mr. Benneman was a retired employee of Bell of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He was a member of the Bell Pioneers. “Mr. Budd” was a coach for many years with Gals Softball in Lower Southampton Township Athletic Association. He was a communicant of the Assumption BVM Parish in Feasterville. Budd enjoyed boating and spending winters in Florida.

Charles was a Navy veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the VFW.

Budd was the beloved husband of Bertha Hess Benneman of for 62 years before her death in 2012. He was the loving brother of Vincent Benneman (Angie) of Las Vegas, NV, Marion Daniels of Philadelphia, the late Joseph Benneman and the late Claire Grow. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 22nd from 7 to 9 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006 and on Wednesday, October 23rd from 10 to 11 AM at the Assumption BVM Church, Bristol & Meadowbrook Rds., Feasterville. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. The interment will be private.
