She was born August 24th 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Peter and Marie DeMaio. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Branko Aleksa (63), her children Jennifer Vucenovic (38), Brian Aleksa (35), Daniel Aleksa (33) and her 10 grandchildren, along with her sister Theresa DeMaio (61) and niece Natasha Whittle (31).
Coleen lived a life centered on the things she most revered, God and family. As a follower of Christ, she loved to serve others, exemplified by her chosen vocation as a caregiver for the elderly.
She loved her home, and found peace there - by the fireplace reading, under the gazebo sipping coffee or working to keep it in immaculate condition. Her home was her "oasis."
Family was everything to her and the dinner table a particularly sacred place to convene, to share, to bond and to love one another.
All who had the pleasure to know her would comment on her vibrancy, warmth and kind and loving soul - her smile a reflection of her joy and optimism for life.
A Visitation for Coleen will be held at Lamb Funeral Home on Friday November 6th from 9:30am - 12:30pm located at 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
A ceremony will follow at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia located at 13500 Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19116.
A burial will follow at Union Cemetery located at 209 Almshouse Road, Richboro, PA 18954.
All who wish to pay their respects are welcome to attend.
