David lived at The Masonic Village at Warminster where he lived for the last two years. David lived with his sister, Linda for seven years before moving to his sister Lorraine's with her family. David was the youngest of three children born to Virginia Anne Wolters Maher and David Frances Maher.
David graduated from Germantown High School and immediately began working. His first job was at the Milton Roy Pump Company in Wyndmoor PA, then he became a clerk for the Liquor Control Board. Though David did not pursue further formal education, he was self taught. Areas of interest were meteorology, and astronomy. David's favorite friend was Murphy, his horse.
Services and burial are private, and for close family only.
