Doreen P. Weissman died on Monday March 26, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Philadelphia. She was 69 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James Collins and the late Gladys Reitzes Collins. Doreen was a lifelong resident of the city.
Mrs. Weissman was a homemaker. She enjoyed traveling. She loved to sing and had a beautiful singing voice.
Doreen was the beloved companion of Philip Gaber for 22 years before his death in 2006. She was the devoted mother of Jimmy Weissman and the step-mother of Tina Duell and Robert Gaber. She is also survived by her aunt Vilma Collins, her nephew Steven Collins, 4 grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service at 11:30 AM on Tuesday April 3, 2012 at Shalom Memorial Park in Huntingdon Valley, PA.
