

A celebration of her life will be held 10am Thursday June 23, 2016 at the Masonic Village at Warminster. Located at 850 Norristown Rd Warminster PA 18974. Family will welcome relatives and friends at this time. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Drive Suite C Fort Washington PA in memory of Doris Ottey. Donations can also be made to the Masonic Village at Warminster, 850 Norristown Rd Warminster PA 18974 in memory of Doris Ottey Treat Fund.
Doris was born in Philadelphia on September 5, 1925 to Eva (Knauss) McDaniel and Victor McDaniel. She was the oldest of her siblings, the late Leona (McDaniel) Lash and the late Howard McDaniel. Doris married Joseph Ottey on February 23, 1946 and they had two daughters: Donna and Lynn.
She is survived by her daughters Donna (Ottey) Fell of Virginia and Lynn (Ottey) Loughlin with her husband Charles Loughlin Sr. of Philadelphia. She has 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Doris lived a very full life with family and friends. She was a caring and giving person. People were drawn to her kindness and sense of humor. She loved her family with a great depth. She was very active in her community and held various jobs throughout her life. She was proud of many of her accomplishments, one was obtaining her high school diploma on January 23, 1987 at the age of 62. She had the largest and most forgiving heart. She will be missed, but her memories will remain in our hearts forever.
