Ed was a long time resident of NE Philadelphia & suburbs. Ed was born on January 29, 1933 in New York, NY, to parents, Loue Juhl and Greta Juhl. He graduated from Cheltenham High School. He was in the Army Medical Corps, then continued his education at East Stroudsburg State Teachers College in East Stroudsburg, PA and obtained his Masters of Science degree in Elementary Education at Trenton State College, NJ. Ed taught 2 years in the East Stroudsburg area and then went on to teach elementary ed. and junior high 37 years in Bristol Township School District.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, children of all ages and animals. He was Dad Juhl, Pop, Pops and Papa to many of his daughter’s friends and Pop Pop and Granddad to their children. Ed also enjoyed family vacations in Ocean City, NJ, playing games [backgammon, Spinner (a domino game), Rummy 500 and chess], and playing golf with his brother-in-law. He got joy from encouraging people, making people laugh, studying the Bible, spending time at church and Bible studies.
Ed was preceded in death by his Father, Loue Juhl, Mother, Greta Juhl, and Wife Eva Juhl. Ed is survived by his Daughter, Arlene Hager, and adopted via love daughter Esther Lindsey and her husband Michael Lindsey and honored to be adopted in love as granddad of their children Jeremiah, Joshua, Josiah, Rebekah, Jonathan and Joseph. Joseph was in Heaven to welcome his grandad.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Lamb Funeral Home Inc., Huntingdon Valley, PA.
