Edna Mae McArdle died peacefully on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Robert Wood Johnson Hospice in Hamilton, NJ. She was eighty-two years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Weber. She had lived in Upper Holland, PA with her husband and daughter’s family for the last thirteen years and was formerly a longtime resident of Northeast Philadelphia.
Mrs. McArdle was primarily a homemaker, but had various part time jobs as her children grew. Edna’s passion was always her husband, children, grandchildren and home. She enjoyed eating out (“want to get a bite?”), shopping, and watching shows about animals. She was spiritual and also had a wonderful sense of humor.
Edna was the beloved wife of Raymond J. McArdle for sixty-three years. She was the devoted mother of Eileen Masceri Bishop (Jim) of Upper Holland, Raeleen Dolin (Ford) of Philadelphia, Raymond McArdle (Patricia) of Lake Geneva WI, Joseph McArdle (Michele) of Philadelphia and the late Maryanne McArdle. She was the beloved grandmother of David Masceri, Stephanie Masceri (Justin) Benjamin, Nicole Masceri, Amy Bishop, Cory (Rose) Dolin, Alicia McArdle, Courtney (Kevin) Smith, Raymond McArdle IV and Ian McArdle; and great grandmother of Amelia and Adeline Dolin and Maverick Benjamin. She is also survived by her brother William Weber, her sisters Virginia Studer and Josephine Smutnik, and her sisters in-law Sophie Weber and Irene Weiner.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 9:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Her funeral service will be at 11:30 AM. The interment will follow In Forest Hills Cemetery.
