Mrs. Shaffer was employed at the Frankford Arsenal during WW II. She was a homemaker and worked in retail sales. Elaine was a volunteer at the Frankford Hospital Gift Shop for seven years.
Elaine was the beloved wife of Arthur Shaffer 44 years before his death in 1986. She was the devoted mother of Robert Shaffer (Tracey) of Philadelphia and was the loving grandmother of Brian and Shawn Shaffer. She is also survived by her siblings, Scherle Connell, Vincent and James Campbell, and Christine Graham (who was her caregiver) and many nieces and nephews. Elaine was predeceased by her siblings, William Campbell, Francis Campbell, Robert Campbell and Gerald Campbell.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley. Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM. Her interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
