Our deepest condolences for the loss of Eleonora who was a truly wonderful and remarkable human being. We admired her strength, independence, intelligence, fortitude, and most of all her warmth. Even though she wasn't related by blood, we have always viewed her as our third grandmother. We loved having her over for the holidays, hearing stories about her life, her family, her business, and her voyage to America, in pursuit of the American dream. We especially loved her baking skills and her amazing talent with all the wonderful Greek specialties. We also deeply admired Eleonora as part of the greatest generation, and as the only Holocaust survivor we have ever known, she was a constant reminder for us all to never forget. Most of all Eleonora was a great friend to our family and to both of our grandmothers later in life, especially during times of need. Whether it was a weekly excursion to the mall or lunch date when they both needed company, or in the tough times, daily phone calls and visitations when they needed a voice to cheer them up, she was always there for them. Eleonora was extremely caring, compassionate, honest, and unselfish, and always thought of others before herself. While our grandmothers Selma and Millie were alive, they would frequently tell us how much they truly admired Eleonore. They thought the world of her, as did we. Eleonore lived for her family and we hope that you can take solace in the fact that she left a great legacy of loving children, grand children, and great grand children who carry many of her best traits.

To Eleonora's Family,
Eleonora was as lovely a woman there ever was. She was so talented in the kitchen and always baked with love.
Whenever a phone call came that she had some extra borekas for us, it was a mad dash to her house.
I will remember her always as genuine, kind, and loving. With love, Donna (Amit) Cubbage
