Elizabeth Mary (Lonergan) Foley

Elizabeth “Betty” Mary Foley (nee Lonergan) died on Monday, August 20, 2018 at her residence. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Lonergan. Betty was a Trevose resident for the last sixty-four years. She was the devoted wife of Francis J. Foley for thirty-three years before his death in 1982.

Betty was very family oriented and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great -grandchildren. She enjoyed air travel and weekend trips to Lancaster in their travel trailer. Betty also loved her pets.

Mrs. Foley was a Communicate of the Assumption BVM Parish in Feasterville. She had been a volunteer counselor for Birthright International. Betty was also a volunteer at the Assumption BVM School.

Betty was the beloved companion of Vincent Kopczenski. She was the devoted mother of Donna Clevenstine (Lawrence) of Greer SC, Francis J. Foley of Dublin, Suzanne DiCesare (John) of Feasterville, Diane Boyer (Philip) of Oakford and Milissa Cwenar (Robert) of New Hope. Betty was the loving grandmother Lawrence H. Clevenstine, Damien F. Clevenstine, James M. Clevenstine, Richard Francis DiCesare, Jonathan DiCesare, Kati Jean Beyer, Sarah Drust, Liza J. Boyer, Robert J. and Brianna Cwenar. She was the great- grandmother of Brianna, Madeline, Jarred, Veronica, Maya, Sydney, Bernadette, “Eli” Elijah, Kyra, Devon, Mason, Maguire, Parker, Gianna, Jackson, Ella and Jace.

Relatives and friends are invited to Betty's viewing beginning at 10 AM on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Assumption BVM Church, 1900 Meadowbrook Road, Feasterville, PA 19053. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM. Betty’s burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem PA.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in Betty’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Betty's family would like to thank St. Mary Home Health Care and Chandler Hall Hospice for their help and guidance during this difficult time.
