

He was a long-time resident of Philadelphia. Fidel was born on April 24, 1939, in Sinait, Ilocos, Sur, Philippines, to parents, Juan and Leocadia Bautista. He graduated from Manila Central University with a degree in medicine in 1968 and spent the entirety of his career in Philadelphia.
A loving family leader, his primary vocation was spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchild. A devout Catholic, he and his wife were very active in their church community as well as in his home country, the Philippines, where he hosted medical missions.
Fidel was preceded in death by his brother, Emmanuel Bautista, his parents, Juan and Leocadia Bautista.
Fidel is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marlynie Warrem M. Bautista, his children, Bryan Bautista, Dharnel (Jeffrey) Combalecer, and F. Dale Bautista, his grandchildren, Thomas Bautista, Charles Bautista, Nathan Bautista, Andrew Combalecer, Matthew Combalecer, Isabel Combalecer, and Piper Bautista, and his great grandchild, Ryder Bautista.
A viewing for Fidel will be held Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Saint Christopher's Church, 13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116. Followed by the funeral mass at 11:30 AM. Burial will occur at 12:30 PM at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Rd, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania 19006.
