Florence A. Locke

She was a long-time resident of Bensalem, PA but spent the last 27 years in Mays Landing, NJ. Florence was born on January 8, 1950 in Fort Knox, KY, to parents, Joseph A. Barford , Jr and Florence W. Barford (Ewing). She graduated from Neshaminy High School in 1968. Florence held many jobs over the years including operating her own food truck business, being a member of Laborer’s International Union Local 57 and enjoyed meeting new people while working at her local Wawa for many years later in life.

Florence loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed live music, shopping with her sisters, and good food. Florence was known for her outgoing personality and love of life. She cared for many foster children over the years and was always willing to get involved and help a friend. Florence’s home was usually full of children and always full of love.

Florence was preceded in death by Husband Oliver E. Locke, Jr, Son Michael Locke, Stepdaughter Jamie Locke, Brothers Joseph A. Barford III and Ronald J. Barford and Sister Margarette Wilson.

Florence is survived by Sons Keith and Colin Dittus and Oliver E. Locke III, Stepson Brian Locke, Sister Elaine Croll, Granddaughters Kailey and Rachel Dittus, Grandsons Kyle, Drew, Evan and Tyler Dittus and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A visitation for Florence will be held Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lamb Funeral Home Inc., 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM followed by the burial at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
