Frances Marie Scarpello

Frances Marie Scarpello died on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook PA. She was eighty-five years of age. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Mary Staub. Frances was a longtime resident of the Somerton section of Philadelphia.

Frances was the beloved wife of Nicholas for fifty-seven years before his death in 2013. She was the loving mother of Lisa (Tim) Millard and Donna Levin. Frances was the dearest grandmother of Felicia Shuhart, Alyssa Wood, Jillian Sullivan, Kerri, Dana and Timothy Millard Jr. and the great grandmother of Ava Clark-Duffy, Taylor Shuhart, Isabella Wood, Harvey Shuhart IV, Brian and Gianna Barlow, Danika, Korina and Athena Crossley. She was the sister of the late Harry Francis and Thomas G. Staub.

As Fran is survived by the names listed above, she spent an eighty-five year lifetime surrounded by her family, her friends, her church community, and her neighbors. There was nothing that Fran loved more, than her connection with others. She always spoke on the importance of love, friendship, and connection.

While she spent a lifetime connecting with others, her ultimate connection was to her husband, Nick. Fran and Nick were two peas in a pod that are now reunited in their everlasting love. They spent over fifty years in their home in Somerton, Pa, where they created a space that was welcoming to anyone who entered. More than anything though, it was a space created for their children and grandchildren, where many memories were created.

Fran was a special soul, who made an impact on everyone who came across her path. She was loved by so many, and her spirit will continue to live on through her friends and loved ones.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday September 11, 2020 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley PA 19006. Frances’ interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Feasterville.
