Gabriel Ciuciu

Gabriel Ciuciu, loving husband and beloved father, passed away at home on December 30, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was a strong, resilient warrior who valiantly fought to be with his loving wife Cathy and their two beloved children, Gabriella and Alex. Born June 26, 1974 in Bucharest, Romania, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1987. Romanian culture and traditions remained an integral part of his life along with his dedication and pride in becoming a loyal American citizen.

Gabe attended Northeast Public High School and was selected as an All Public Soccer Player. He built a career in the telecommunications field but his love and dedication to family and friends are what was most important in his life. He possessed a remarkable sense of humor and had the biggest heart imaginable. He was always there for anyone who needed him. Gabe was a devout Eagles fan who loved to take Gabriella and Alex searching for Pokemon. He enjoyed trips to the dog park with Gabriella and the family labradoodle, Charlie. He shared a love of music with Gabriella and valued time spent building model airplanes with Alex. He was happy when spending time growing tomatoes and other vegetables and loved to spend time cooking for everyone.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Cathy; his cherished daughter Gabriella, and treasured son, Alex. His loving mother, Cornelia Dragon Ciuciu and dear sister, Claudia Stanciu (Chris) and their children Danny and Jessi as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his devoted father, Gavril.

A visitation for relatives and friends will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 11:00am - 12:00 pm at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road

Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Services will begin at 12:00 with interment at 1:00 pm at Forest Hills Cemetery.

For those considering an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for Gabriella and Alex.
