Reverend George Boone 3rd

Reverend George Boone 3rd died on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Masonic Home in Lafayette Hills, PA. He was 77 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late George Boone Jr. and Dorothy Bailey Boone. He had been a longtime resident of Trevose.

Pastor Boone was a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University. He received his Master’s in Theology from Boston University. He was the former Pastor of Trevose United Methodist Church. George was the owner of Honey and Spice Printing in Trevose for many years.

George was a member of the Palestine Roxborough Lodge 135 F & AM. He enjoyed playing Santa Clause at Feeney’s in Feasterville for many years. He worked with Larry Ferrari for over 20 years organizing Christmas Concerts.

His other interest included bowling, old movies and game shows. He was an avid Eagles fan. George was an excellent photographer.

George was the beloved husband of the late Joanne Boone. He was the father of Deborah E. Boltner (Daniel) of Newtown and Timothy A. Boone (Janis) of Huntersville, NC. He is also survived by five grandchildren and his brother Robert Boone (Barbara). He was predeceased by his twin brother Richard Boone.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, May 26 2017 from 10 to 10:45 AM at the Trevose United Methodist Church, 4937 Church Ave., Trevose, PA 19053. There will be a Masonic Service at 10:45 AM and his Memorial Service will be at 11 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Masonic Angels Foundation, PO Box 1389 , Orleans, MA or to the Trevose United Methodist Church.
