Grace Emily Frew Griffaton

Grace E. Griffaton died on Friday, April 25, 2014 at her residence. She was 92 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Almeda Frew. Grace was a Marlton, NJ resident for the last 5 years and had previously lived in Hatboro, PA for over 60 years.

Mrs. Griffaton was a homemaker. Graces' favorite time of the year was Christmas and she enjoyed decorating and collecting Christmas memorabilia. She would start decorating right after Thanksgiving and finish Christmas Eve.

Grace was the beloved wife of Henry Griffaton for 10 years before his death in 1977 and Thomas Hood for 20 years before his death in 1958. She was the devoted mother of Thomas Hood (Cecelia) of Warrington PA, William Hood of Arlington, TX, Arlene Heaton (John) of Marlton, NJ, the late Debra Lehuquete; stepmother of Gary Griffaton (Susan) of Goldsboro, PA, Nancy Eck (Alan) of Sellersville, PA, and Sandra Di Lello (John) of Millville PA. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her service at 11 AM on Saturday, May 3rd at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. Her interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
