Hak Dong Gang

Hak Dong Gang died on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the Holy Redeemer Hospice in Meadowbrook, PA. He was 85 years of age. Born in Namhae, Korea, he was the son of the late Joo Ahn Gang and Lee Shim Gang. Hak was a Philadelphia, resident since 1989. He had previously lived in South Korea.

Mr. Gang was a Sargent in the South Korean Army. He was a member of the Korean Veterans Association. Hak was a member and respected Elder of the Huntingdon Valley Presbyterian Church. He served the Church as the Superintend of the Sunday School. He enjoyed brush writing and gardening.

Hak was the beloved husband of Soon Duk Gang for 61 years. He was the devoted father of Yeong Chun A. Gang and Young H. Gang of Huntingdon Valley, and Shin Sook Gang, Shin Bok Gang and Shin Hye Gang of South Korea. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchilder and a nephew Young Ok Gang of New Hampshire.

Relatives and friends are invited to his services at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, May 6th and 10 AM on Wednesday, May 7th at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. His interment will follow his service on Wednesday in Forest Hills Cemetery.
