

She was a long-time resident of New Britain, PA. Dorthy Janet Moore was born on March 16, 1939, in Philadelphia, to parents, Robert Eugene Moore and Dorothy Wright Moore. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1957, then continued her education, graduating from West Chester University with a degree in Education. Jan went on to establish a career first as a teacher and then as a secretary, working for the psychiatrists at the Bucks County Prison for many years.
Jan loved crafting, puzzles, reading and singing in the church choir. She always had a smile and a witty remark for whoever she was talking to. She also had several rescue dogs throughout the years that she loved taking care of. She was a member of the New Britain Baptist Church and could often be found at the NBI for dinner.
Jan Rollins was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Malcolm Marshall Rollins; her brother, Robert Wright Moore; and her parents, Robert and Dorothy Moore.
Jan Rollins is survived by her daughter, Debra (Jerry) Lynn Umstead; her son, Richard D. Rollins; and her grandkids Nicole and Ryan Umstead.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her services Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Wayside Chapel at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1156 Horsham Road, Ambler, PA 19002. The memorial gathering will begin at 10:30AM, followed by the memorial service at 11:00AM. The inurnment will be held privately after the services.
