John Joseph Bell Sr.

John was born on March 4, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to Maria (Brogley) and Francis Bell and was the oldest of two children.

He worked for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission for 20+ years prior to his retirement in 1999.

John's hobbies were watching old westerns, watching movies, fishing in Florida, and he loved the casinos.

John Joseph Bell, Sr. is survived by his wife, Rose E. (Fowler) and four children, John J. Bell, Jr., Catherine Meskill (Jim), James Bell (Drucinda), Maureen Grogan (Anthony), eight grandchildren, Kristina (Grogan) Prozorov, Holly Grogan, Brittany Bell, Julia (Meskill) Armstrong, James Meskill, Grace Bell, Matthew Bell, Emily Bell, seven great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy (Bell) Erhardt and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and Friends are invited to a gathering and memorial mass on Friday, May 20, 2016 held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church located at 7341 Cottage Street, Philadelphia, PA 19136. The gathering is 9am followed by the mass at 10am.

Following the mass; John's ashes will be stored in a columbarium at Resurrection Cemetery located at 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020 .
