Karen Inez Drumwright passed away on Saturday August 16th at the age of 60 surrounded by loving family. Karen was the beloved daughter of Yvonne Campbell and Robert Drumwright. Mother to Jovon, and grandmother to Jordan and Layla. Sister to Andre (Robin), Kevin, Keal, Saria (Leonard), Nalya (Steve), Albano, Janelle (Mark), Robert Jr (Nicole) and Listeree. Karen leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Karen was the inner glue that kept everyone connected. Ready and available to babysit at any moment.
After graduating High School, Karen’s entrepreneurial spirit took over. Everything from driving a cab, to working a food truck, and allowing her creativity an outlet for candle making, floral arrangements, key chains, and building blocks made for names and sayings. When she wasn’t being creative, she was working 3000–5000-piece puzzles. Had it not been for her illnesses, Karen would have her own store front today. Always resilient through Lupus, Kidney disease, NMO an autoimmune disorder, Colo-Rectal Cancer, and a disorder of the Heart, she never gave up. Karen’s battle cry was: “I’m going to live my life to the fullest, no matter what!”
Karen had an adventures side. Her latest endeavor was Axe Throwing. In her downtime you could find her listening to music, watching horror movies, hanging with family, playing games on her tablet, or regularly going to the senior center (even before she could be considered a senior). And her fried fish was the best around.
She will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her.
A visitation for Karen will be held Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.
