Leona Wolff Brooks, beloved mother of Pamela Brooks King (Atlanta, GA) and Barton A. Brooks (Mt. Kisco, NY) passed peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her residence of Anns Choice. She was 90. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Faye (Zamrin) Wolff and step daughter to Lillian (Struck) Wolff. After forty years as a resident of Huntingdon Valley, Leona lived at Anns Choice for 15 years. Leona was a member of Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America where she sang for many years. She was an avid bowler and a devotee of exercise and natural health. She traveled to many places around the world, had an extensive green thumb and a passion for gardening. She loved feeding and watching birds. For decades she gave to numerous animal charities and was extremely passionate about helping God’s creatures that could not speak for themselves. Leona was the beloved wife of Barton David Brooks for forty-one years before his death in 1998. She was the loving grandmother of Benjamin King and Olivia Brooks, both age 11, and mother-in-law to Jennifer (Hirschberg) Brooks.
