Lewis W Smith

Lewis W. Smith died on Monday, May 28, 2012 at Aria Hospital Torresdale Campus. He was 68 years of age. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Lewis W. Smith and Thelma June Simons Smith. He was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia.

Mr. Smith was a former employee of Janney Cylinder Company of Philadelphia. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 810 in Philadelphia. Lewis was a volunteer at the Friends Hospital in Philadelphia.

Lewis was the beloved husband of Lillian J Kirn Smith for 46 years. He was the devoted father of Tracy L (Kevin) Bender of Bensalem, Heather J. Smith (and her fiancé Joel Tennison) of Philadelphia and the late Lewis W. Smith, III. Lewis was the loving grandfather of Tralyn and Dylan Bender and Clayton Tennison. He is also survived by his sisters Janice L. Smith of NY and Patricia Ondercker of VA.

Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral service 12 noon on Monday June 4 at the Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. His family will receive friend from 10 AM until the time of service. The interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
