
Marcel Dutwin, age 90, died January 10, 2023. Born in Brussels, Belgium, he lived in South Orange, NJ before moving to East Greenwich, RI in 1975 and later to Wickford, RI in 1994. In 2021 he moved to Sunrise of Haverford, PA, to be near his son, David.
Mr. Dutwin was an entrepreneur who ran multiple companies over the course of his career, most recently as a successful general contractor for commercial rehab in Rhode Island. He is a holocaust survivor, escaping the Nazis from Belgium, largely walking with his family across Europe to eventually briefly reside in Portugal before emigrating to Newark, NJ.
He is survived by his brother, Ralph, son David, and grandsons, Aidan and Elias. He was married to Phyllis Dutwin who died on June 25, 2019.

Service and burial will be held at the Temple B’nai Abraham Memorial Park in Union, NJ on January 12, 2023 at 10:00 am. Shiva will be arranged virtually.
