

Margaret A. (Jones) Appleman affectionately known as “Peggy” unexpectedly went home to our Lord on April 23, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family in Saint Johns, Florida. A native of Philadelphia and devout Catholic, born to the late Veronica E. (Anello) and Roy H. Jones. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Henry C. Appleman, Jr. “Hank”; her infant son, Bryan; daughter, Michele Mosczczynski and son-in-law, Michael Mosczczynski, Sr. Margaret was a devoted and loving mother to John (Christen), Maureen Maida (Salvatore) and Marsha Bridges (Jeremy). Sisters Joanne Stroup, Janet Gaffney and brother Russell Jones. Preceded in death by her brothers Ronald F. Jones and Roy J. Jones, Sr.
Margaret was a retired nurse and proud graduate of Saint Mary’s Nursing School in Philadelphia; Class of 1962. She enjoyed a rewarding 50-year nursing career that began at Saint Mary’s Hospital; (where her children were born), and concluded at Saint Catherine’s Nursing Home for retired priests.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandsons who lovingly called her “Gigi”. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends, especially lifelong best friends Minnie and Lorraine, as well as her dearest friends and neighbors in her Florida community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 11 at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the Celebration of Life beginning at 11:30 a.m., immediately followed by graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in her memory. Her family will also be reserving a walkway stone in her honor.
