

Margaret A. Appleman (Jones) “Peggy”, suddenly went home to our Lord on April 23, 2026, at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family in Saint John’s, Florida. A native of Philadelphia and devout Catholic, born to the late Veronica E. Jones (Anello) and Roy H. Jones. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Henry C. Appleman, Jr. “Hank”, her infant son, Bryan, daughter, Michele Mosczczynski and son-in-law, Michael Mosczczynski, Sr. Margaret was a devoted and loving mother to John (Christen), Maureen Maida (Salvatore) and Marsha Bridges (Jeremy). Sisters Joanne Stroup, Janet Gaffney and brother Russell Jones. Preceded in death by her brothers Ronald F. Jones and Roy J. Jones, Sr.
She was a retired nurse and proud graduate of Saint Mary’s Nursing School in Philadelphia; Class of 1962. She thoroughly enjoyed her 50-year nursing career which began at Saint Mary’s Hospital - where her children were born - and ended at Saint Catherine’s Nursing Home for retired priests.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy of 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandsons who lovingly called her “Gigi”. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her family and friends, including her lifelong best friends Minnie and Lorraine, and all her dear friends in her Florida community.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 11 at Lamb Funeral Home, 101 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a Celebration of Life beginning at 11:30 a.m., immediately followed by graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family will be making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and reserving a walkway stone in her honor.
